Summer reading

Now Reading
I am in my favorite summer mode, no alarm clock or commute to school for a while. My favorite thing to do is have breakfast, make coffee and go out to my porch with the morning paper. Then I make a second cup and grab a book. I try to get through as many of the new Dorothy Canfield Fisher titles as I can during the summer. So far I have read Close to Famous, Troublemaker, Small as an Elephant, The Apothecary, Wonderstruck, Storm Runners, The Silver Bowl, The Running Dream and just finished Okay for Now this morning. What's next? I'm thinking Queen of Hearts. After that I might take a break and read an adult novel. My neighborhood book group just selected The Tiger's Wife and it just arrived from Amazon. Mowing the lawn will just have to wait.....

  1. Thanks for starting a reading blog -- I look forward to seeing how it grows. I am thinking about a DCF blog for a final project. I just finished "When life gives you OJ" and started "Storm runners." I have read 5 others and looking forward to reading more.

  2. Nice work on the blog. I think students are likely to e interested in your thoughts as a literate adult outside of school as well. This makes me want to get back to the DCF books myself - only four read so far...
